McClain’s Meadows Veteran Farm at 1530 Hatter Creek Road in Princeton Idaho Invites YOU to a 360 degree hands-on teaching event!

You will learn how to get a FREE high-tunnel green house of your own from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) grant through their Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). Special guest, Chris Johnson from the Latah County NRCS office will be here to tell you about the process. Joe and Katie will attest to how easy it was for them!

Then, in the spirit of an old fashioned “Barn Raising” we will put up a 60 x 20 High Tunnel/Green House that McClains Meadows Veteran Farm received through the NRCS/EQIP grant. Great hands on practice so you can put up your own in the future!

In addition, Rebecca Burt with Harvest Heroes, U of I Extension Office, will also be on site to talk about the free classes and hands-on training they offer for Veterans! Harvest Heroes is a farming education and training program that seeks to aid veterans in developing agricultural skills from gardening for their families to running small farm business enterprises.

We will follow up with a BBQ, drinks and snacks. Open to everyone interested in networking… the greatest resource we have are the other Veteran Farmers in our Community.
